Cactus Cafe Show 10/23 Austin, Texas
Absolutely awesome show. We arrived 2 hours early and just hung out.. and were of course the first people in there.. ended up being about 2 feet from the little stage. The band was all very excited to be there for the first time.. and extremely gracious and kind, and perhaps a bit taken off guard that my boyfriend and I recognized their faces. I assume that most people haven't really seen who is who because I'm under the impression that they don't tour that much, going off of what Jason said. We had a conversation with Rachel, Jason, and Christian, and one of the cellists from Invert (exciting!). Invert opened and played 2 songs with Rachel's and they were absolutely great as well. The video Rachel's played along with the set was really cool. The only thing I'm disappointed about was that they played nothing from Egon! But all in all it was such an experience.. and in such an intimate venue. I truly hope they come back, and I believe they will because they seemed to really enjoy themselves and the audience was extremely appreciative and responsive (looooong looooong pauses to clap).
sweet limited edition posters that they were giving out for free.. the ink they used is so strong and nauseating
funny shot of 3 of 4 members of invert performing a few songs with rachel's
another shot of invert with rachel's
this is when rachel's started just playing their music
rachel just sitting and enjoying the music while she didn't have a part in the song

Can anyone link me to a list of places they will be hitting on this tour? I'd really, really like to know if they are coming anywhere near here(alabama) and cannot find anything.
Ohhh! Thank you for posting this.. as I was reading through my friends page, I remembered that they were here in Tucson and that the show had started 45 minutes earlier. Luckly, I only missed three songs from the opener and got to see all of Invert and Rachel's.
they were perfect.
This was one of the best shows I've been to. I had planned on going an hour before doors, but spaced it out and ended up standing behind the sound guy.
I had never heard of Invert and was very much surprised. They didn't use any sheet music on the piece the played from the Japanese composer I forget the name of !
